Will you sign my yearbook?

This gave me hours of laughter. Sadly the 1994 version of me is VERY similar to my eighth grade picture.

Catching up with old friends

I just took the leap into the world of Facebook and yes - I am hooked. No, I haven't been living under a rock, I just never got bit by the MySpace bug and I was sceptical of Facebook as well. I have to say it is great opening my email everyday to find notes from old friends/classmates that I have not talked to in 5, 10 and in some cases 20 years ago. And of course keeping up with the peeps I see and talk to more often.

A Little Bird Told Me

...exactly what you are doing at the exact moment you are doing it.

Twitter is my next new thing that I am trying. It clearly isn't new to the rest of the world and several people have been telling me to try it. So here I am trying to "tweet" or at least follow some others to figure out what this is all about. I mean seriously, does anyone care what I am doing?

If at first you dont succeed

When I got to the gym this morning and looked at the list of classes I saw that there was a spin class starting in 10 minutes. Perfect!

But then I looked a little further and saw Zumba. If you are not familiar with Zumba, this class (as written in the class description) combines high energy motivating music with a fusion of Latin dance and unique moves to make you sweat and burn those calories away. Nice.

Okay I can do this. I have rhythm and I can dance...okay maybe only after a few drinks and that is probably still disputable.

So I enter the studio where 3 guys and 3 girls are lining up and stretching. Hmmm, am I in the right class - 3 guys in this class, really?

So have you taken this class? I asked one of the guys next to me who excitedly jumps up and down and says "noooo, but I loved the jazz class I took and I am sure this is going to be sooooo much fun, right guys!"

Right

So the spunky Latino instructor walks in and starts pumping the music, which I love of course, and she starts gyrating and swinging her hips shouting out counts and moves - here we go!

As I trip over my own feet and get dizzy trying to follow the spins, hip swinging, salsa moves, jumping and bumping I think - I should have had a few drinks before the class.

How do you know if you don't try it...

...my grandmother would say whenever I scrunched up my little face and said "I don't like it". So Gram - this blog is inspired by you!

First thing on my list - Create a Blog

What's next - skydiving? Hmmm, maybe I'll just try a spin class or create a Facebook page.
